Introduction
Motorola’s Moto G series has long been the company’s go-to for affordable smartphones. The latest Moto G Power (2026) is now official, making its debut in the US and Canada, with availability in additional markets likely to follow.
The Moto G Power (2026) doesn’t aim for raw performance or a standout camera setup. Instead, it positions itself firmly in the budget segment. That said, it remains a thoroughly modern smartphone, covering the essentials well enough for its target audience.
Some of the highlights include 5G connectivity, great toughness (IP68/69 and MIL-STD-810H), a dedicated microSDXC memory expansion slot and an actual 3.5mm audio jack and stereo speakers.

The camera setup isn’t particularly impressive, but at least there are some highlights like autofocus on the ultrawide. The Mediatek Dimensity 6300 fails to impress too. And the 5,200 mAh battery might be decently sized, but just like last year’s model, the capacity is a bit too modest for a phone with Power in its name.
On a more positive note, the Moto G Power (2026) is definitely a looker. Our unit has a soft, almost rubbery finish that feels quite unique.
Unboxing
The Moto G Power (2026) ships in a very thin, two-piece cardboard box. The box is two-tone with glossy printing.
There is no plastic to be found anywhere in the packaging, inside or out. The printing is done in soy ink as well, so top points for eco-friendly processes.
There is not much of an accessory package to speak of. The only thing inside the box alongside the phone is a basic, non-e-marked 3A USB Type-C to Type-C cable wired for both power and data. That’s it – no charger, no case or anything else.
