Xiaomi recently announced its Pad 7 series in China. Its predecessor, the Pad 6, was very popular in the tablet market for offering powerful hardware specifications along with a refined software experience. It’s now time for the fans to get excited about the overseas launch of the Xiaomi Pad 7. The device has finally made its way out of China and is now confirmed to land in India officially on January 10th, 2025.
Xiaomi Pad 7: official Indian launch date, rumoured specifications
Xiaomi has officially confirmed on its social media handles in the Indian division that the Xiaomi Pad 7 is scheduled for its debut in the country on January 10th, 2025. Let’s have a look at the specifications of the Chinese unit. It will give you a brief idea of what to expect. It is expected that there won’t be any major changes in the specifications between the Chinese and Indian units.
Starting with the one of the most important part of the tablet, its display, the Xiaomi Pad 7 packs a huge 11.2-inches IPS LCD display with 3200*2136 pixel resolution and 345 PPI density. It will have support for 144Hz high refresh rate, similar to the Xiaomi Pad 6.
As for the processor, it will be powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, against the Snapdragon 870 found on the predecessor. The Chinese unit offers UFS 3.1 storage type for 128GB variant and UFS 4.0 for above. The RAM type is LPDDR5x. It will run on Xiaomi HyperOS for Pad powered by Android 14.

Coming down to the cameras, it will have a basic camera setup of an 8-megapixel ultrawide front facing selfie camera and a 13-megapixel wide primary rear camera. For battery, it will pack 8850mAh battery with the support of 45W fats charging, up form 33W of its predecessor. It will have a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
Additional specifications include WiFi V6, Bluetooth V5.4, 6.18mm of thickness and 500gms of overall weight. Talking about the price, the Chinese unit starts from CNY 1999, which roughly converts to around 24,000 INR.
