Realme unveiled a new 14x smartphone today powered by the Mediatek 6300 chipset. The phone is the international version of the China-bound Realme V60 Pro. This means the Realme 14x has a cool Red paintjob as its hero color.
Realme 14x is built around a 6.67″ LCD with HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. There’s a punch hole for the 8 MP selfie camera.
There are two cameras on the back, with the main sporting a 50 MP OmniVision sensor. Alongside it is an auxiliary sensor that won’t contribute much to your photos.
There is a Dimensity 6300 chipset, and unlike the variant in China, here the 14x has 6 GB or 8 GB RAM, both coupled with 128 GB storage.
The Realme 14x is IP68 and IP69-certified and even passed MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability tests. A SonicWave Water Ejection feature lets you blast the water out of the loudspeaker chamber after taking the phone underwater.
Realme 14x features a profile under 8 mm thick, and yet it still packs a 6,000 mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC wired charging support. The company claims the cell can keep 80% of its charge over the span of 4 years, which is about 1,600 full charging cycles. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging.
Realme 14x takes two nano SIMs, and the tray also has room for a microSD card. Software-wise, it comes with Android 14 and Realme UI 5.0 on top, and the brand promised two generations of Android version updates and 36 months of Realme UI updates.
