Google is launching a preview of its Connected Apps Platform this week for developers, designed to help them bring application capabilities directly for users to access inside of Gemini.
You’re likely already familiar with this, as some services have already been integrated into the system, like Adobe, Experian, and Peloton. Some of the features available from these services are accessible via Gemini, with the same things functionalities soon coming to Google Search.
In total, there are more than 50 Connected Apps between Search and Gemini in, “areas ranging from productivity and event ticketing to health and fitness.”
What’s New
- Developer Platform Public Preview: US developers can sign up for the public beta waitlist to deploy and track app performance metrics like traffic and latency in real time.
- New Partner Integrations: Rolling out new connected app capabilities with partners including Calm (mindfulness) and Peloton (workout planning).
- Expanding Ecosystem: Bringing total connected app integrations to over 50 across productivity, event ticketing, health, and commerce.
If you’re a fan of using Gemini for all sorts of things, this is probably great news for you.
Add Droid Life on Google:
Stumbling upon Droid Life randomly after purchasing a Motorola DROID in late 2009, Tim has been a part of the Android scene for longer than almost anyone. Thousands of posts and reviews later, he’s still going, unless he’s out crushing people in pickleball.
