Vivo could be preparing to launch its next S-series smartphone in China soon. Following the debut of the Vivo S60 series in May, the company is now tipped to introduce the Vivo S70 lineup in November. A new leak from tipster Smart Pikachu has revealed the expected launch timeline and hinted at a major camera upgrade for the upcoming phone.

Vivo S70 Launch Timeline and Camera Features

According to Smart Pikachu, via Gizmochina, a new wave of mid-range camera-focused smartphones will launch in China next month. The tipster has mentioned the Vivo S70 alongside other expected releases, suggesting that the smartphone could debut in November 2026.

Vivo S70 Launch Timeline Revealed

The upcoming launches are also expected to include the Honor 700 series and Oppo Reno 17 lineup. The tipster further claims that only one brand in this group will offer a large-sensor periscope telephoto camera with teleconverter support.

While the brand has not been explicitly confirmed, Vivo is a likely candidate. If the information is accurate, the Vivo S70 could feature a larger telephoto sensor than the S60’s 50-megapixel periscope camera. Teleconverter support could also offer enhanced zoom capabilities, potentially bringing a feature previously reserved for Vivo’s premium X-series smartphones to its mid-range lineup.

However, the Vivo S70’s camera specifications and teleconverter compatibility remain unconfirmed.

Vivo S60 Specifications: What to Expect

For reference, the Vivo S60 featured a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 2,750 x 1,260-pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

Its triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor. A 50-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.

The Vivo S60 also packs a 7,200mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired charging support. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

More details about the Vivo S70’s specifications, pricing and availability are expected to emerge closer to its rumoured launch.
