The newest addition to the Redmi 15 series was just unveiled in India. Say hello to the Redmi 15A, which arrives in India with a 6,300mAh battery, a 120Hz display and affordable pricing. It’s actually a rebadged Poco C85x with a different camera island design.

Redmi 15A is built around a 6.9-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at 810 nits peak brightness and features an 8MP selfie cam. The back houses a 32MP main shooter and an unspecified auxiliary lens. You get a Unisoc T8300 chipset at the helm paired with 4/8GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. The phone features a dual SIM slot with support for microSD card storage expansion.

The software side is covered by Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0, based on Android 16, with 4 years of firmware updates and 6 years of security patches. The 6,300 mAh battery supports 15W charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. The phone is IP52-rated against dust and water splashes and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack.
Redmi 15A comes in Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple and Ace Black colors. The baseline 4/64GB trim starts at INR 12,999 ($137). Xiaomi is also selling a 4/128GB version for INR 14,499 ($153) and a 6/128GB trim for INR 16,499 ($174). Open sales start on April 3.
