For a month or so, we’ve heard about a change that would let you customize the perks that come with your T-Mobile plan. That change is now here with the introduction of T-Mobile’s T-Mix. It’s an exciting time if you’re a customer, which is something that was sorely needed due to recent price hikes and turbulent changes from the carrier.

This could be a good thing

The T-Mix program will offer customers the ability to pick and choose their perks using something called “Picks”. It’s pretty versatile too, with “benefits spanning streaming, music, gaming, food delivery, sports, AI, wireless benefits and device promotions — with the freedom to choose when and which line uses Picks to get a new phone.”

And just like before, these perks are included in the price of the plan. There’s no extra payments that need to be made. However, the T-Mix option will only be available with new plans that are being introduced today as the Standard, More, and Loaded options. Naturally, each plan has its own set of stipulations and offerings.

But to keep things simple, the more you pay, the better the service gets and the more you’re offered. The Standard will provide one T-Mix Picks option, while More will offer two, and Loaded will provide three. Each line gets access to more Picks too. This plan will also be available to “55+, military and veterans, first responders and college students.”

A lot of options to choose from

When it comes to the selection, there are a lot of options to choose from. T-Mobile lists a wide range of different providers, some of which we’ve seen before and others that are brand-new. T-Mobile also shares that this is just the beginning and new providers could be added over time.

As of now, T-Mobile has partnered with these services and will offer them as Picks: “Apple TV, DashPass by DoorDash, Hulu, Netflix, Pandora and SiriusXM while introducing brand-new benefits with partners including Apple Music, ESPN Unlimited, Delta SkyMiles, Google Gemini, Paramount+, XBOX Game Pass and YouTube Premium.”

It’s an impressive lineup to say the least. I could easily see myself choosing a few of the streaming services, like, Netflix, Hulu, Apple Music, YouTube Premium, and others. The beauty of this is that you can mix and match to get the best outcome for your lifestyle.

You can even use Picks to get better service options, like “T-Satellite, Optimized Video Calls and device promotions, including using Picks to get a new phone on Us.” The best part is that you won’t be stuck with these Picks for the term of the plan and will have the freedom to change them out.

T-Mobile shares that customers will have the option to “mix up their partner Picks four times a year — during three change windows, plus during the Annual Remix window — all while keeping the same monthly plan.”

Things are changing

T-Mobile rose to become one of the best carriers in the United States, going head-to-head with giants like AT&T and Verizon. However, over the past couple of years, the brand has delivered some major changes. In September 2025, Mike Sievert stepped down as CEO, handing the reigns over to Srini Gopalan, who was the former Chief Operating Officer of the company.

However, one of the largest changes to come was the retirement of its legacy plans. While this in itself wouldn’t be a problem, T-Mobile also required those on legacy plans to move to newer and more expensive options. As you might expect, people weren’t happy about this at all, especially when years earlier it promised price lock guarantees.

The whole point of customers signing up for these plans was to prevent price increases from happening. T-Mobile had a business to run, and it didn’t care about the outrage or negative feedback. It just kept moving like it always has. While the carrier did nothing for its customers, others took action, and it looks like there could be some retribution.

Like a well oiled machine

T-Mobile used to be the underdog. It needed innovative ideas to bring in customers. The Un-carrier era was a masterclass in how you can turn things around. It was so powerful that other carriers copied T-Mobile’s vital strategies.

Although T-Mix is going to introduce something new for its customers, we’ll have to see how well it will be received. Judging from what we’re seeing though, customers aren’t really seeing the benefits. Regardless, we know that T-Mobile will keep moving forward, whether that means good things or bad things for its customers.
