OPPO is now selling a new storage variant of the Reno16 exclusively on Amazon: With 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, the smartphone costs 599 euros for Prime members. At the same time, a Back-to-School promotion is running on OPPO.com through September 4, 2026, offering discounts on several models from the Find X9 and Reno16 series.
The Amazon-exclusive Reno16 variant in detail
The new 8-GB/256-GB version of the Reno16 is available only on Amazon, in Pop White and Purple-Black. The smartphone normally costs 699 euros there, but with a Prime discount of 100 euros, the price comes down to 599 euros, according to OPPO.
In terms of specs, the Reno16 falls into the upper mid-range category: a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 powers the 6.32-inch AMOLED display, complemented by three 50-megapixel cameras on the back and a 50-MP front-facing camera for selfies. The 6,000-mAh battery charges quickly via SUPERVOOC, and according to the press release, the device is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.

Is this a good deal?
599 euros for a phone with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 isn’t a bargain price in the strictest sense, but it’s a noticeable discount off the MSRP. Technically, the chip falls short of current flagship SoCs like the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is likely to be noticeable in practice, especially when playing games with high graphics demands. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a large battery, three decent 50-MP cameras, and a bright AMOLED display—and don’t need top-tier performance—this is a well-rounded package.
Our conclusion: The new Reno16 variant with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is particularly appealing to Prime members who are looking for a mid-range phone with a large battery and good camera features and want to snap it up at the promotional price of 599 euros. If you need more performance, you’ll want to check out the discounted Find X9 series.
